1-DESCRIPTION: (Chemical structure, coating, dying)
EGYLON sutures are sterile non-absorbable mono or braided polyamide (Nylon) which obtained by polymerization of long chain aliphatic polymers nylon 6 & 6.6. EGYLON is either braided multifilament or monofilament in case of multifilament the sutures are coated by silicon to minimize the capillarity and for smooth passage. EGYLON is available blue, black or undyed. EGYLON complies with the requirement of USP and EP
2-INDICATIONS:
EGYLON sutures are for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurosurgical procedures.
3-HOW SUPPLIED:
EGYLON sutures are available sterile, braided multifilament or monofilament, dyed (blue or black) or undyed strands in USP sizes ranging from 10/0 to 2 (metric sizes 0.2-5) in a variety of lengths with or without needles. EGYLON sutures are available in one dozen box.
4-strilization
EGYLON is sterilized by ethylene oxide gas (ETO).
