Sterile Synthetic Non-Absorbable
Braided Polyester with Silicon Coated

1-DESCRIPTION: (Chemical structure, coating, dying)
EGYBOND sutures are sterile non-absorbable braided polyester which obtained by drawing polyethyleneterephthalate. EGYBOND is braided to provide easy handling and secure knot and coated by Silicon to minimize the capillarity and for smooth passage. EGYBOND is available white and green.

2-Indication:
Due to very high tensile strength of the polyester and its prolonged (indefinitely) tensile strength the Silicon coated polyester (EGYBOND) is used in the following:
   1. Tissue approximation with high security.
   2. Prosthetic implants fixation with permanent support.

3-HOW SUPPLIED:
EGYBOND sutures are available sterile strands in USP sizes ranging from 5/0 to 0 (metric sizes 1-3.5). EGYBOND sutures are available either in one dozen box (12 pieces each) or box has 6 packet (10 pieces each, 5 white & 5 green). It supplied either with or without teflon pledged.

4-Sterilization:
EGYBOND sutures are sterilized by ethylene oxide gas(ETO).
